"We Don't Need Roads" Teefury.com, August 1st

Hey all,

I just wanted to let you know that I've got another design gracing a shirt at Teefury.com, coming this Monday, August 1st, for 24 hrs. only. This time, I took my inspiration from the closing scene of "Back to the Future", as Doc Brown delivers the eloquent line "Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads..."

3B SHOW SUCCESS!!! (The best time to be is now)

THANK-YOU so very much to everyone who made it out to the premiere of the 3B Show last night. It was an amazing night and couldn't of happened without the amazing talent and passion from all of our Autumn Society members!

A special thank-you and shout out to: J Ryan and Eric (for bringing their amazing BTTF Deloreans), Dr Craveswell & Fan Vixens for the cookies and support!

Also a big thank-you to Kasey Tarauj (and her sisters), Collie Mills, Jorsh Pena, and Rosario Ruiz for coming such a long way from Philly & Mexico! Here's to the future!

back to the future in 3D!

good day! after the awesome 3G show, i was commissioned to make two Back to the Future pieces. they are both done in the same style as my 3G pieces, as 3-dimensional paintings. just like my previous layered paintings, they look a thousand times cooler in person (where you can actually see the space) than in photos. so, here they are!

in this one, the delorean, flames, and lightning are all raised about an inch above the town background.

and in this one, the delorean, dust, and a few indians are raised about an inch above the desert background.

feel free to check out my blog to read about each piece and to see each individual layer to get a better idea of what the painting really looks like in person !

CHRONO-CAR!

I didn't sign up for the 80's tribute show. But being a child from the eighties I wanted to share something from the ol' backlog with you all.

Hope you dig.

Jess's Process- 80's show

This is how I paint using Photoshop. Way, way different than the way i painted using Corel Painter. I used to flood fill a background and pull the light colors out like traditional painting, but now I have each element on its own layer, so I have to work one piece at a time and then blend it all together in the end. Notice how I have my references strewn all over the place.

Jansen 88' Special!

88 will get you to the future, but 87 will get you a ticket.
