"Bottom of the Ink Well" book is finished!

So after a few days worth of scanning and sorting through old crap and using blurb.com's awesome book layout program, I present to you:
"Bottom of the Inkwell"
52 pages of sketches, largely drawn at Bob and Barbras and assorted philly bars. The drawings are from 2007 to 2009 and include failed attempts for PCS Book III, images used in Parade of Flesh show posters, preliminary work for a few unfinished projects, and some personal work. I'm going to be selling them at this firdays ASOP Hellboy show at Brave New Worlds, and on my new etsy shop: www.samheimer.etsy.com

Sam Heimer Featured on Marquis Blog
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Autumn Society, I am pleased to say that our very own Sam Heimer got a mention for his Pin Up of the Marquis, by the creator himself, Guy Davis! Please support Sam and the comeback of Guy Davis' Marquis by leaving some comments on the Marquis blog by clicking the image below! Congrats Sam!

Something New
The above is the last piece I made for the show, and it's something new I've been trying out with going a little more traditional using just ink and a brush. I can't remember what it was that made me want to try my hand at this kind of drawing, but I've been in love with people who work in a similar fashion: Paul Pope, Jeff Smith, Charles Burns, etc. So when I stopped at an art store to get a new table, I threw in some brushes and a nice little green bottle of black ink. Hope you guys enjoy, and for those of you that missed the opening the show at Chapterhouse should be up until (I believe..) September 10th. Thanks!
Update: Here's the piece I posted a sketch for below.
