Famine's Shadow

This winter I was contacted by horror writer Rachel Deering (Anathema) to do work on a graphic novel. That is still in the works, but in the meantime, I did a short story for a future anthology called Monstrology. Rachel wrote a great 12 page script for me, and being the fan of short stories that I am, I gladly tried my hand at it...

Strange Kid Comics

That's right! I will be doing a comic strip for the Strange Kids Club. I was really excited to create a comic for the anthology but this should prove to be even cooler. This St. Patrick's Day strip is the first one, so SKC proprietor Rondal Scott and I will be getting a feel for the project as we go along.

You can see the official post here on the Strange Kids Club website, and you can pre-order the upcoming anthology here. I know it features the work of quite a few Autumn Society members so I'm really excited to check it out.

When you're strange...

This is my contribution to the soon to be released Strange KIds Club anthology. I went with a parody of the original Garbage Pail Kids stickers, seemed to fit.

Here's a little info from there site on what Strange KIds Club is all about...

Strange Kid is that uninhibited inner child within each of us. He enjoys reliving classic episodes of Family Matters and Dinosaurs on Friday nights just as much as he does breaking out a tasty box of Count Chocula on Saturday morning while cuing up Thundercats and Masters of the Universe When not geeking out to 80s era nostalgia, Strange Kid prefers to succumb to endless hours of video games and monster movies.

new comix

long time no post!
heres a recap of whats been going on in my neck of the woods lately, i had a great time at mocca this weekend, even though i didnt have a new book to sell at my table i had my usually new free sketchbook zine on hand to give away. but i was in 3 big releases for the show, all of which are tabloid anthologies, for those not in the art comix know, tabloid anthologies are poppin up everywhere in most alt comic friendly cities around. the first image is of secret prison, our very own philly comix scene based anthology, this was our 'first' issue (our real first being the batman tabloid released last fall) its totally sick and we managed to get rid of 400 at mocca this weekend, and this upcoming weekend there is a philly release party at brave new worlds!

the next is the awesome smoke signal comics which has a ton of huge names in it that makes me extra pumped to be apart of this brooklyn based loid

and the 3rd tabloid i was in is taffy hips 7, this providence based tabloid blurs the line between drawings and comix and is super artsy, a force to reckon with in the whole fringe art book scene

and lastly ill leave you with an image of a comic page of mine that i abstracted, this along with about 10 more are going to be hanging in a show at the last drop this june, so watch out!
