Dirty issue 1

Wanted to share some new work I did for the first issue of "Dirty" magazine, curated by Pat Aulisio in conjunction with Pterodactyl Philadelphia. Anyways, I got to do the artwork for the cover and few of the interior pages. The cover is first, then the second image is entitled "Midnight in the Garden" and the third image is entitled "Family."

You can check the whole issue out online here:
Thanks,

NOTICE MAGAZINE – INAUGURAL RELEASE

Hot off the presses, and after a good amount of editing, Matt Cavanaugh presents the first two offerings of a self-publishing project called NOTICE MAGAZINE.

NOTICE magazine and visual journal is a self initiated project curated and produced by Matt Cavanaugh/MCavanaugh Creative. NOTICE was born out of an intuitive discovery of capturing the somewhat overlooked and desolate terrains found in life. The project also serves as a time capsule for our ever changing American landscape. The first two issues; “The Roar Of Silence” and “Remembering Coney Island” can be purchased via Matt's etsy store. Additional vendors for purchasing will be announced soon…

To find out more and to view samples of the magazine, please check out Matt's Projects Section on his site: here

To Purchase a copy of the magazine, please visit Matt's Etsy Store: here

Additional releases to follow in the coming months, stay tuned.

A Piece on Golf

Hey y'all. I'm happy to say that I just wrapped up a job for the New York Times this past weekend, and it went to print today. They were great to work with, super positive, and it was cool to see the piece go through various transformations through the art direction. In any case, hope you guys like it. Thanks and see you at the Dia de Los Muertos show.

something different

I normally dont post work that I do for magazines and what not on here, but I couldnt help but think its funny that I went from doing a Ninja Turtles piece to being asked to illustrate the signing of the constitution. It was also odd to do a job that didnt require much of anything in the way of a concept, it needed to be pretty straight forward. Anyway, I thought it was an interesting one so I wanted to share it with you all. It was for the Penn Gazette for a review and interview with the author of "Plain, Honest Men" by, Richard Beeman. Have a good one everybody
