"el condor pasa"
It's strange how much music and painting can be connected to me sometimes. I find that I get much inspiration for my work from songs i listen to on my itunes.

My Ode to Summer
I feel like most people who live in Philly can connect with this. Driving to Wildwood, Sea Isle, Island Beach, wherever! Traveling "down the shore" to New Jersey during the summer is always a welcome escape from the bustle of the city. I wanted to make a painting about Jersey so here it is. Happy last few weeks of summer everyone.

Below is the color study that I did for the piece. Color studies are nice, but seeing the changes and decision-making that happen once you get to the final touches of the painting is even nicer.

Red Panda and Hoopoe

Hey there everybody,
I'm just posting my contribution to the Heart Earth show. There's not that much to tell; I've wanted to paint red panda for a long time now, so I figured this was my chance! Also, I researched bird species of China and found the amazing hoopoe, which I included in the scene. For kicks. Hope you all like them!

No Sleep Means Family Silk Screens

4 color Silkscreened Promotional Poster for No Sleep Records (Yellow, Gold, Brown, Orange)
I just got done signing 100 of these screen prints and man is my arm tired. I have to ship these prints out in the next few days, so that they will be available to purchase at the No Sleep Records Store in the next week or two.
I talked to Chris at No Sleep, and he said they will be sold for somewhere between $15 and $25 a print with free shipping.
Super Stoked about it!

Bird
This is an image I've wanted to make for a while, but never had the opportunity. One of the first things I sketched out after graduation, it's a picture of a grackle- a bird a saw for the first time down in Florida early this winter. The color and shape of the bird really struck me and I've been a bit infatuated with them ever since.
