Janée Meadows: Intergalatic Collector's Set

Yesterday my "Cowboys and Aliens" poster for Mondo Tee's went on sale and sold out in two-minutes. I've had a lot of folks contact me about getting a print, so I've come up with a solution.

Get your rocket gear on and blast-off to my Indiegogo page where I'm selling a limited edition Intergalatic Collector's Set featuring my original "Day Version" poster along with a 7" blue vinyl "Night Version" artwork; featuring the music of Golden State.

USA TODAY VIDEO INTERVIEW

Check it out! USA TODAY picked only FOUR artists to interview at comic con. I was the one of them. They did a great job of editing out how nervous I was. I’m really stoked on this.

"We Don't Need Roads" Teefury.com, August 1st

Hey all,

I just wanted to let you know that I've got another design gracing a shirt at Teefury.com, coming this Monday, August 1st, for 24 hrs. only. This time, I took my inspiration from the closing scene of "Back to the Future", as Doc Brown delivers the eloquent line "Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads..."

Large Marge on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

Hello Society!

Since the Gallery 1988 Pee Wee Show is just around the corner, I figured I'd share something I helped work on in the past year. I was asked to help out with the stop-motion animation portion of this bit, in which Jimmy turns into Large Marge live on air. From start to finish, it was all done within a 24 hour period. Big shout out to Late Night's graphics guys Edmond Hawkins, Joel Knutson and John MacDonald who did tons of post-fx magic to make it look just right!

Bonus: Here's a Behind The Scenes video that shows how we pulled it off-

New

(Preview) Showing at 111 Minna Tomorrow.

Good Morning, Mr. Breakfast.

Hey there. Here's my contribution to Pee-Wee. I must say that I don't have a fantastic memory for things that happened prior to about 2 or 3 years ago, but I clearly remember sitting in a completely packed theater on opening night of Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985). The audience cheered and laughed so hard at every joke that night that a second viewing was required to absorb all the plot intricacies and existential humour ("I know you are, but what am I?") that shaped this work of genius.

Trace Cherokee Logo

On the 29th of this month country music legend and Seth Martin & Friends star Trace Cherokee will be performing live at the V Club in Huntington, opening for bluegrass band The Good Ol' Boys and a Girl.

Trace won't perform on just any dingy old stage, so we're in the process of building him some set pieces, including a large version of this logo I designed. Trace has sort of been the breakout star of our SMaF show and I am incredibly excited that he'll actually be going on in front of a live audience.

For a taste of his music, you can check out this YouTube clip of Trace and the Stenders performing "Mountain Woman" on local talk show Up Late.
I've been told that Trace has been writing and practicing for some time now and I can't wait. I mean, when was the last time you walked into a bar and saw a puppet on stage?

You can check out Trace's Twitter here...

and the Facebook event for the show on the 29th is here.

DEAD & DREAMING FUNDRAISER (Buy an exclusive shirt from Sam Heimer)

Autumn Society founder / Elder, Sam Heimer is raising funds for the upcoming Autumn Society: H.P. Lovecraft tribute show, titled "Dead & Dreaming."

Pee-Wee Tribute Show

Hello all, here is the piece I did for the Gallery1988 Pee-Wee Herman Tribute Show. Before I started, I re-watched the movie to get inspiration and I had forgotten how much bike and dinosaur goodies are in it. Being a dinosaur and bicycle guy myself I just had to add them to my tribute piece. Its a five color screen print and is about 8.5" x 16". Look for it come August at gallery1988! Enjoy!

Put On Your Thinking Cap!

Portrait of Adora
I've recently been commissioned to do a portrait of someone's child.  I could do whatever I want with it, so I wanted to illustrate how kids are sometimes smarter than adults.  Owls are often called "wise", so I decided to add it to the piece.

DreamWorks Animation Fine Art

Earlier in 2011, I was approached by the Autumn Society about an opportunity with Dreamworks. The project involved selling original artwork and giclee prints in tribute to the Dreamworks films: Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon. I was lucky enough to be asked to do one for all 3 films.

I'm a huge fan of all three so it was something that was incredibly fun to work on. They're finally posted up on their website and are for sale through the site, DreamWorks Animation Fine Art . A special thanks to Chogrin and to KC Sanders for the opportunity on this awesome project! Hope you guys dig the finals.

Cute King Painting

Here's a new digital painting I did of Cute King from Adventure Time. Just thought I'd share!

Artificial Dissemination

Hi Gang,

Eamon here, in an effort to post more, I wanted to share stuff, like a link to my blog post about a recent philly art show at Masthead Print studio. The goal of the show was to create a propaganda style image, I decided to go with a pro-printed media message, and came up with this:
There is a sketch and some pictures from the show, here. They were screen printed and there are prints for sale at the gallery. Feel free to check it out!
