Hello, Friends!
Happy to be part of this silly talented collective! I have nothing "new-new" to share, but here's some Adventure Time fan art to get it started:
ZeSketch:
New Work
I just finished up the last images from a series I started a couple of months ago that's loosely based on child hood/teenage memories. All the images have a particular meaning to them that relates to a story, but what I like about each of the images is how you can appreciate them without the text. Even create your own meaning for them. You can check out more images I've made on my website.
Thanks for checking them out!

TEN CENT ADVENTURES
I have finally finished the first series of 10 Ten Cent Adventures and I am very proud of how they turned out. Here are two of them and a little taste of the other eight, I will be posting them all on my blog again soon and updating a place for them on my website. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Going Ape!
Beware the beast Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death.
A commission i recently finished, had fun with this since "Planet of the Apes" is one of my all time favorite movies. Although General Ursus doesn't appear in the original film they wanted to include him in the piece, which is fine by me since he's awesome!
Also, anyone in the "Bean Town" area i'll be at the Boston Comic Con this weekend April 30th - May 1st in Artist Alley with fellow Autumn Society members Scott Derby & Tom Whalen

"If I Was You" Illustration project submission
I just joined this awesome group and thought I let you know about my recent submission to the "IF I WAS YOU" project. This very fun illustration project is organized by Sandra Dieckmann, a very talented illustrator herself.
Every artist has to draw an image which is somehow connected to the previous artist. I had to do an illustration connected to something Murray Somerville said and had a lots of fun with it. You should check the site out, it is really a fun mix of diverse styles and also a fun read seeing what every one responded to the three questions every artist has to answer.
So here is what I submitted.

Interview w/ Illustrator Tom Whalen
It's turning into quite a week for AS-related interviews it would seem. Next up is an AS alum and one of my personal favorite design-oriented illustrators: Tom Whalen!
Whalen's signature style has made him something on an internet phenom over the past few years, both in the design industry as well as the illustration community. It doesn't hurt that he also enjoys making 80s and 90s pop culture the subject of his works including Transformers, G.I. Joe, He-Man, Star Wars and more!

The 3B teaser
Hey all,
It's been too long since I last posted here.
But I'm just gonna take a moment here to post a teaser for my 3B artwork. For those of you that aren't going to be at the show I will post some photo's and scans of the work after the show is opened...
I've gotta say there is some spectacular work involved in this event, and I'm honored to be a part of it...
I'm also pretty bummed that I won't be at the show.... But, I know that it will be great and that everyone will party "most excellently" in my absence.
Best wishes,
P
Interview w/ Cartoonist Sam Hiti
A bonafide creative inspiration to his professional peers, with fans ranging from Mike Mignola to Guy Davis, Sam Hiti's unmistakable heavy ink wash style has carved himself a definite niche in the indie comics field.
Beyond that, however, Hiti possesses the ability to bring readers into altogether foreign realities full of monsters, aliens, and giant, evil Orb creatures. His works are often so densely packed with visual information that one could spend hours pouring over just a few pages picking out random background details. Thankfully the artist was nice enough to offer a few moments of his time to answers a few questions.

I've been meaning to put something in for your shows for a billion years and I finally succeeded! I just moved to Los Angeles, so I am super excited to come to the opening as well. Thanks for having me!

American Illustration 30
The two Shunga (Japanese erotica) inspired pieces I created for the Autumn Society‘s “East Meets East” exhibition last year at AxD Gallery have been selected to appear in American Illustration 30, which will be released in November of this year at the annual AI-AP party in NYC. Last year's selection was also from an Autumn Society show.

Spotlight on Autumn Society Member: Glen Brogan
Glen Brogan should be a name that many of you are quite familiar with; he's a self-admitted nostalgia junkie, an ongoing contributor to AS art events/shows, and my latest co-conspirator on the SK-exclusive web comic Strange Kid Shorties.
When he’s not illustrating icons of pop culture goodness, however, Glen is most likely occupied drawing scantily-clad ladies for the “funniest, sexiest magazine on earth,” Front Magazine and taking on as many freelance assignments he can handle. Luckily, I was able to lure the hardworking artist up to the SK clubhouse for a brief chat, one “strange kid” to another.
Check out the full interview here.
